Let’s be realistic – kids want to let their hair down and splash around in a paddling pool, especially during a long hot summer. We’ve selected this pool because it’s the most size friendly, and while it’s not exactly saving water, you can be more water efficient with a little advice:
- Cover up the pool when you’re not using it in order to minimise evaporation
- Fill it on the grass, so that any spilled water is soaked up usefully. And remember that if there’s a hosepipe ban, you’ll need to fill it by bucket
- Don’t empty the water down the drain – make sure you pour it on your thirsty flowerbeds or plant pots – do this in the evening to reduce evaporation.
