Good for the planet Eco Max Compost Bin - 330 Litre
Did you know that around one-fifth of the average British houshold dustbin is made up of organic waste?
With the 330 litre Ecomax Compost Bin you can now recycle your organic waste into rich, natural compost for your garden. In fact, you can compost almost anything that's organic, including:
- fruit and vegetable scraps
- tea bags, coffee grounds
- crushed egg shells
- grass cuttings, prunings and leaves
- small amounts of shredded paper and soft cardboard
- animal hair
(You shouldn't add the following to your composter: cat or dog excrement, meat, cheeses, fish, disposable nappies, shiny card or hard objects that won't breakdown and decompose.)
The 330 litre Ecomax Compost Bin has a wide base area to maximise the composting process, and is fitted with a door to allow easy access to remove the compost. And, as you'd expect, it's made from at least 75% recycled products.
For best composting, place your Ecomax Compost Bin in a sunny spot out of the wind on well-drained soil. Loosen the soil below the bin to improve drainage and increase access for worms and bacteria - they'll speed up the process. Add some grass cuttings or vegetarian animal manure to provide heat to speed up the composting process. Remember to always keep the lid on so the compost doesn't out, and turn the material regularly to aerate - again this helps the composting process.
When the contents of the Ecomax Compost Bin no longer look like what you originally put in, then it's time to remove via the door at the base and spread onto your garden.
And everyone will love you - your blooming garden, the blooming dustbin men, and your local counillors. Plus you'll be making a BIG contribution to helping your local environment.
