Description
Grows to 2m high by 1.5m wide. Compact Callistemon with light papery bark, and dense grey-green foliage. Very floriferous with glossy purple-maroon flowers in spring and autumn.
Where to grow
Situate in full sun to realize flowering potential. Prefers well-drained soil, but will tolerate a wide range of soils and situations.
Care
Pruning is recommended after flowering to remove spent flowers and encourage an attractive growth habit. Although not essential, Callistemon ‘Genoa Glory’ will respond well to a low phosphorus fertilizer in early spring or autumn.
