Description
Grows to 1m high and wide. ‘Purple Fountain Grass’ is a decorative ornamental grass with arching sprays of dark purple leaves and burgundy-red, nodding plumes. Summer flowering.
Where to grow
Happy in full/part sun, prefers well draining soil.
Uses
Will add architectural character to a border, rock garden, or a pot, very low fuss plant. Excellent in cut flower arrangements. In colder climates Pennisetum setaceum “Rubrum” is grown as an annual.
