Description
Quick-growing large shrub which can grow to 4m high. Floriferous bottlebrush with handsome foliage and striking crimson red flowers, abundant in spring into summer. Excellent feature plant.
Where to grow
Situate in full sun to realize the abundant flowering potential. Prefers well-drained soil, but will tolerate a wide range of soils.
Care
Pruning is recommended after flowering to remove spent flowers and encourage an attractive growth habit. Although not essential, Callistemon ‘Kings Park Special’ will respond well to a low phosphorus fertilizer in spring/autumn.
